The Internet is full of useful stuff.
Here's our take on useful:

 Music in General
  • Music Plasma A beautifully designed site that graphically maps out the musical relations between (almost) any given band.
  • Insound Online music store for all your indie, grunge, and emo needs. Also, lots of free mp3s.
  • MetaCritic Summarizes a whole medley of reviews for an album and presents them all on one easy-to-read page.
  • Purevolume Like a fitting room for music. Try a few bands on for size, without having to commit to (or wait for) the download.
  • New Music Canada Lists nearly every Canadian band out there right now, good, bad, or ugly. Thank the CBC.
